Did Kunti come to the battlefield after Karna’s fall?
One of the TV serials based on Mahabharata had shown Kunti visiting the battlefield after Karna’s fall and mourn his death by holding his head on her lap. Logically this doesn’t seem possible considering Kunti was not camping near the battlefield and could not have visited Kurukshetra to mourn Karna’s death the way it has been depicted in the TV serial.
According to the Mahabharat by Vyasdev, Arjuna decapitated Karna’s head and his lifeless body fell on the ground. There is no mention of Kunti visiting the battlefield at this occasion.
Kunti mourns Karna’s death and reveals the secret of his birth at the end of the battle when funeral rites of all the fallen warriors were being performed by Yudhishthir and other relatives.
